Hey, great news! I just found out yesterday that we got an audio deal for Counting Raindrops. So, my book will also be available on tape very soon. No exact date for release has been set, but when it is, I will let you know. :-)

Okay, writing has been very scarce since the day I took off on Sunday. Monday, I had a sudden family matter to tend to. After that, I got bogged down in other errands that were "must do" because I'd held off on doing them for as long as I could. I didn't get a chance to sit down to write until 7pm or so, and by then, my brain was no good. Besides, I had to get some sleep because Tuesday, I had the orthodontist appointment in Kentucky. Good news is, only one last appointment left in September. The scheduled off date. Round trip to the orthodontis is 11 hours drive time alone. So, it pretty much takes out writing time for the entire day. And now I'm playing catch up for not really having written in a good three days. Gotta get back on the horse. :-)

All right now! You are moving and shaking in the literary world. Two big thumbs up!

A book on tape, huh? Cherlyn, you need to slow down and let the rest of us catch up!

Will you be doing the narration? If so, put your best Sade-Jill Scott-Dinah Washington-Ella Fitzgerald-Nina Simone twist on it!

(Sorry, just the Jazzhead in me . . .)

Dom, it's exciting, I must say!

Hey Marcus, I would LOVE to do the narration. It would give me a chance to put this voice to use. I can tell you how many times I've been told I could do voice overs, phone work or, be something like a, ahem, Girl 6. I did ask my publishers about this and she said they usually have readers lined up to do it. I do wish I could do my own. I would love to bring it to life myself. :-)

Wow, an audio deal. Congratulations!

I love to "read" audio books, but I can't find too many AA audios. Right now I'm "reading" the audio version of Sidney Sheldon's Sands of Time. I've also read E Lynn Harris and Alice Walker on audio. It's always a nice experience.

Thanks Leah and Suzanne!

And Leah, I do audio books sometimes too, when I'm on the road. Mainly when I was working and traveled a lot. Now when I'm driving, I like to use it as meditation time. But I'll do an audio book sometimes at least a portion of the drive. They're cool.
